Job summary

IES is seeking a General Superintendent to lead large, complex projects across electrical, mechanical and communications installations. You will oversee staff recruitment, training, profitability, scheduling and customer interaction to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive telecommunications/industrial experience, strong project management skills and the ability to manage cost, scope and schedule while maintaining high customer

Qualifications

• Minimum five years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Minimum three years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Minimum five years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet driving standards.
• Ability to define a project, create a scope of work, estimate and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and supervise project staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan for profitability and manage project budgets.
• Ensure deadlines meet customer requirements.
• Oversee workload distribution, staffing levels and progress.
• Ensure productivity, project completion and compliance with budget.
• Review job costs, invoicing and periodic financial reporting.
• Complete timesheets, material transfers and change orders on time.
• Perform on-site quality checks and safety analyses.
• Attend facility and construction meetings as required.
• Lead operations meetings and training sessions.
• Manage tools and truck inventory/maintenance.
• Complete any other assigned responsibilities.
