Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Florida is seeking an Electronic Technician to provide hardware support across multiple business lines, including Avaya/Cisco telephony, in-room tech, Wi-Fi, and TIMELOX systems.

You will install and sustain layer 1 infrastructure, work on GPON/data networks, and support events with voice and data connectivity across Walt Disney World properties. 2+ years of hands-on telecom/network experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida state driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Telephony experience
• Layer 1 experience
• Knowledge of Cisco/Avaya voice systems and T1/Data circuits
• Ability to terminate and solve CAT6a cabling
• Knowledge of passive optical network (PON) and data network technologies
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Avaya environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, tackling, and configuring of phones and associated peripherals on Avaya and Cisco Systems
• Perform sustainment of in-room technology including WIFI, TIMELOX, and GPON equipment
• Required to install and maintain all layer 1 infrastructure
• Proficiency with layer 1 fiber and copper test equipment
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management or lead technician
• Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
