Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on site in Chicago, IL. You will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards, while supervising field staff and subcontractors.

The role requires up to 80% travel across multiple states, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and compliance with codes and plans.

Qualifications

Experience as Telecommunications construction Superintendent is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction practices and documents.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
Problem-solving and proactive issue mitigation.
Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations.
Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules.
Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects.
Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
