Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Telecom to bridge engineering design and construction on major industrial projects. You will coordinate internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages, ensuring constructability and sequencing for telecom and low-voltage work on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in Electrical engineering or 15 years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience with technical training.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical design drawings and specs for construction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve design/constructability issues and disputes related to drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities through design review and modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Coordinate telecom and low voltage sequencing for build-out and constructability.
• Assess long-lead risks and align with design/construction schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor awards.
• Coordinate work breakdown structure across stakeholders to cover full scope.
