Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager for Telecom to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects. You will lead design constructability reviews and coordinate with internal teams and contractors to produce comprehensive preconstruction plans for telecom and low voltage work on site.

The role requires significant experience in construction management, strong communication, and the ability to manage bid packages and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• 8 years minimum in electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical drawings and specifications for construction.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns.
• Identify schedule and cost saving opportunities from existing design.
• Engage trade partners early in design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline construction sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for full WBS and scope understanding.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability impacts.
