Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group seeks a Preconstruction Manager – Telecom to bridge engineering design and on-site construction for major industrial projects. The role requires coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability and sequencing.

The ideal candidate has deep electrical/industrial construction experience, a Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent, and is capable of leading cross‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience required.
• Certified technical training and construction management experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting electrical and telecom design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving constructability issues and design discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for schedule and cost savings based on design and modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages based on design for contractor award.
• Coordinate stakeholders for full construction work breakdown structure.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability impacts.
