Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Telecom for US projects within the Advanced Manufacturing group. The role bridges engineering design and construction for major industrial projects, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to prepare comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability.

Requires 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in construction management, a bachelor’s in engineering, and experience with low voltage drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Experience with construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical engineering drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns and disputes.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from design and modularization ideas.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with design and schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders to build a complete work breakdown structure.
