Ideal candidates bring hands-on fiber construction experience and a strong background in HDD/boring, with a focus on safe, timely delivery and cost control on complex projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day construction delivery across an active FTTH forward build and a remediation project.
• Manage two in-house crews and six subcontract crews, each operating their own equipment.
• Lead and develop 2–3 field supervisors.
• Direct HDD and boring operations in hard rock conditions, driving production while protecting quality and cost.
• Maintain daily progress oversight and represent the build in client meetings.
• Hold subcontractors to schedule, standards and safety expectations.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they become schedule risks.

Join a fiber construction contractor delivering FTTH builds in San Antonio. The organisation is expanding its field operations and offers the opportunity to take ownership of large-scale fiber deployment projects while working directly with in-house crews, subcontractors, and field teams.

This opportunity is ideal for a Construction Manager with experience in fiber infrastructure looking to lead production in a hands‑on field role. The position involves overseeing supervisors, managing crews and equipment, and driving successful delivery of FTTH construction, with a focus on complex boring and HDD operations.

Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day construction delivery across an active FTTH forward build and a concurrent remediation/road‑move project
• Manage two in-house crews and six subcontract crews, all operating their own equipment
• Lead and develop 2–3 field supervisors
• Direct all HDD and boring operations in hard rock conditions, driving production while protecting quality and cost
• Maintain daily progress oversight and represent the build in client‑facing project meetings
• Hold subcontractors to schedule, standard and safety expectations
• Identify and resolve field issues before they become schedule risks

Skills / Must Have:
