Job summary

TAK Broadband is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field construction activities in Wisconsin (Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Williams Bay) with the option to travel across the US. You will supervise crews, coordinate with permitting, engineering, real estate, and logistics, and ensure safety and schedule adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom construction, strong leadership, and travel readiness (75–90% annually).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of total telecommunications construction experience including supervisory/leadership.
• Knowledge and prior work experience in telecom construction industry - coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, map reading.
• Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground construction.
• Practical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and fiber networks.
• Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change-order preparation.
• Able to travel regionally +/- 90% annually.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities across multiple projects.
• Supervise construction crews and subcontractors to ensure quality, compliance, and schedule adherence.
• Travel throughout regional market to various projects as needed.
• Conduct site walks, pre-construction meetings, safety audits, and closeout inspections.
• Coordinate permitting, engineering, real estate, and logistics to keep projects on track.
• Track project milestones using company tools.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and access logistics.
• Support the Director of Construction in maintaining budgets and schedules.
• Serve as on-the-ground escalation point for field issues and resolution strategies.
• Communicate project status and needs to leadership and clients.
• Ensure work follows safety protocols and state regulations.
• Document punch lists, redlines, and closeout packages.
