Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to join our team and contribute to data center and telecom projects across the United States. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models, coordinating with other discipline leads to produce fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings.

Working under telecom discipline leads, you will apply Jacobs BIM standards, leverage Navisworks and AutoCAD alongside Revit, and collaborate with architects and engineers to deliver constructible designs that

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry.
• Growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design documentation and set-up of Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads.
• Work under telecom discipline or project leads to showcase Revit expertise per BIM standards.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).
• Produce 2D construction drawings in alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers on the Jacobs design team.
