Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial in McCalla, AL to support an aerial crew with installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials. Your role includes providing tools and materials, moving equipment, and ensuring safety notifications before work.

Candidates should be at least 18, authorized to work in the U.S., with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and be willing to become a certified pole climber.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
