Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care. The role reports to the Director of the Intensive Care Unit and emphasizes using the Watson Model of Care for a defined patient group.

The nurse will participate in daily rounds, SBAR handoffs, and meticulous documentation. Requirements include a California RN license, a BSN preferred, and experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred; ADN/diploma acceptable.
• Current California Nursing license.
• 1 year minimum clinical nursing experience or 1 year Med/Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.
• Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing or in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process to anticipate and plan for patient and family needs.
• Perform nursing assessments and prioritize care.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and unit needs; apply evidence and critical thinking.
