Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care for a defined unit. You will plan, coordinate and deliver individualized care using the Watson Model and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires active participation in the hospital mission and core values, with 12-hour accountability and collaboration with care managers to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred; ADN or diploma accepted.
• Californian Registered Nurse license is implied by role.
• CPR/BLS and critical care certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and families.
• Perform focused assessments, identify changes, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain therapeutic nurse/patient relationships and conduct hourly rounds.
• Communicate using SBAR during hand-offs and with the care team.
• Document IPOC, care plans, and outcomes per unit policies.
• Assist with discharge planning and care collaboration system training.
