Job summary

The Clinical Staff Nurse at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is a dedicated RN responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and providing high-quality patient/family centered care across 12-hour shifts.

Reporting to the ICU Director, you will implement the Watson Model of Care, participate in care coordination, SBAR handoffs, documentation, and discharge planning while upholding the hospital's mission and core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred.
• Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
• Current California Nursing license.
• Basic EKG Competence.
• Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing preferred.
• Certification in Medical / Surgical Nursing preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• CPI Blue Card within 90 days of hire or requirement.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.
• Perform focused assessments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Maintain age-appropriate nursing care and critical thinking.
• Document care using IPOC and Watson Model guidelines.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care managers.
• Provide patient hygiene and ADL support.
