Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care on a defined unit, following the Watson Model of Care.

The role reports to the Director, ICU, and requires 12-hour accountability for planning, directing, and delivering care. The position emphasizes nursing process, effective hand-offs (SBAR), and collaboration with Care Managers for discharge planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred; ADN/Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, or Med/Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred.
• Current CA Nursing license; Basic EKG competence.
• Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing and Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certifications current; CPI Blue Card within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide high quality, individualized patient/family centered care.
• Perform nursing assessments and prioritize/coordinate care.
• Document care using IPOC and Watson Model of Care.
• Communicate with physicians and team using SBAR.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Ensure safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
• Assist in unit orientation and equipment setup.
• Support Care Collaborative System training and testing.
