A public library system in Charleston is seeking a Library Assistant to help in the Teen/Young Adult Services Room. Responsibilities include assisting patrons with library resources, shelve materials, and manage patron records. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, an appreciation for young adult materials, and must be open to working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. This position offers competitive pay at $17.26 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to assist patrons in using library resources and technology.
• Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist teens and tweens in the use of library resources.
• Shelve books and other library materials.
• Update patron records and issue library cards.
• Create Young Adult booklists and book displays.

High School graduate or GED equivalent
