Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Teen Services Coordinator to plan, promote, implement and evaluate teen programs under the supervision of the Program Director. You will orient members, model appropriate behavior, and support a safe, engaging environment.

The role requires experience with teens, youth development knowledge, and a background in teen programming. A valid state driver’s license is required, with opportunities for weekend events and evening hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years where: Experience in working with teens and knowledge of youth development.
• Formal training, knowledge and/or experience in programming for teen interest and participation.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to deal with the general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success by creating an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes and promotes active teen program participation.
• Implements, monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities for members; ensures safety and quality.
• Supervises and trains volunteers and program assistants; participates in weekly staff meetings.
• Monitors supplies and ensures inventory is within budget and organized.
• Maintains a clean, attractive program area and updated bulletin boards; coordinates repairs as needed.
• Participates in training opportunities and BGCA leadership programs.
