Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a Youth Program Staff member to lead and support youth activities at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA. This part-time role includes supervising classes, planning age-appropriate activities, and ensuring participant safety in a high-energy environment.

Ideal candidates bring youth program experience, a positive attitude, and willingness to complete required trainings and background checks.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related experience preferred.
• A commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• Positive attitude and previous experience with youth and diverse populations.
• Knowledge and skills in program activities and related sports and office equipment, and the ability to instruct participants in techniques.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred.
• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Youth Program Staff to join our team!

As a Youth Program Staff you will be responsible instructing class participants in various programs, games, and activities.

Wage:

$17.13 to $17.16 per hour, depending on qualifications

Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
