Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Teen Program Coordinator to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. This part-time role supports Teen Program Directors with planning, organizing, and delivering YMCA teen programs at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA.

You will assist with staff interviews, develop lesson plans, and contribute new programming ideas while mentoring instructors and teens to maintain high quality, safe, and engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent (preferred).
• 1–2 years related experience coordinating people or activities (preferred).
• Ability to use computer and typical business software and office machines.
• Positive attitude and previous experience with teens and diverse populations.
• Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, and file maintenance.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with WA State Fair Chance Act).
• You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• You are able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required

Wages:

$17.74 to $19.74 per hour, depending on qualifications
