Job summary

EZ COMM LLC is seeking skilled Fiber Technicians to join our 1099 Independent Contractor team in Indianapolis, IN. You will work on cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure, installing, testing, and maintaining high-speed fiber networks across residential and commercial sites.

The role demands hands-on technical ability, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driver's license and potential BICSI certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, or telecommunications preferred.
• Familiarity with OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and fiber optic tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• BICSI certification or related telecom certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in residential, commercial, and outside plant environments.
• Perform fiber optic testing using OTDR and other diagnostic equipment to ensure network integrity.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic lines, connectors, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and network schematics.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards on all job sites.
• Coordinate with team leads and project managers to meet project deadlines.
