Job summary

INFRACOM SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking skilled fiber optic technicians for on-site installation and troubleshooting in our Austin, TX area operations. You will perform installation, splicing, and testing of fiber networks, reading splice maps, and ensuring documentation accuracy.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with fusion splicers, OTDRs, VFLs, and related equipment, along with adherence to safety and quality standards. Training is available for required equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber installation, splicing and testing is preferred.
• Ability to read splice documentation and maps, and update records.
• Proficient in using fiber tools and test equipment; able to troubleshoot fiber issues.

Responsibilities

• Check light levels on future installs and troubleshoot if failing.
• Perform cable and fiber installation work including splicing fiber.
• Terminate, splice, and install a variety of fiber optic connectors and enclosures including loose tube and ribbon fiber.
• Proficient in using fiber tools and fiber optic test equipment including fusion splicers, OTDR, VFLs and other fiber equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot damaged fiber, effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to read, understand and update splice documentation and maps.
• Perform construction activities, including pulling new cable/fiber through conduits.

• Perform cable and fiber installation work including splicing fiber
