Job summary

Akron-Summit County Public Library is hiring a full-time TechZone Assistant to support our Mission to provide resources for learning and leisure and to assist patrons with technology needs. The TechZone@Main serves artists, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists with tools like recording studios and design computers.

The TechZone Assistant works 37.5 hours weekly, including evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, providing in-person and remote tech support and helping maintain equipment and assist training new

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to help customers use personal and library technology and equipment.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a friendly and accessible manner.
• Advises and assists customers in using technology and equipment, offering instruction.
• Assists with handling various technical questions and user support.
• Performs standard library routines including circulation, delivery, and service desk tasks.
• Maintains and cleans equipment in TechZone and supports programs.
