Job summary

The Ela Area Public Library District seeks a friendly, creative individual to provide customer service and technology support throughout the Library and in the Forge Makerspace. The space hosts 3D printers, a Glowforge laser cutter, a Cricut Maker, Arduinos, and more.

The Makerspace and Technology Assistant will handle day-to-day operations, 3D print requests, and basic tech assistance on the first floor, guiding patrons in using equipment and participating in programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or working with the public is preferred.
• Familiarity with makerspace technology is preferred.
• Library experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and technology assistance in the library and Makerspace Forge.
• Complete patron 3D print requests and assist with programs as applicable.
• Aid in basic technology support on the first floor and guide patrons in using equipment.
• Plan and assist with guides, programs, and activities in the space.
