Job summary

Jobot in Philadelphia is seeking a Technology Success Engineer to serve as the dedicated technical owner for an assigned portfolio of clients. You will combine systems administration, network engineering, and customer support to keep environments secure and aligned with best practices.

You’ll proactively assess IT environments, identify improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and act as a trusted advisor while collaborating with internal engineering, project, and service teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years MSP or IT support experience
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience configuring firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service abilities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned client accounts

  • Analyze networks, servers, cloud services, and security posture for optimization

Job Details

The Technology Success Engineer serves as the dedicated technical owner for an assigned portfolio of clients. This role combines systems administration, network engineering, infrastructure optimization, and customer support to ensure client environments remain secure, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.


You’ll proactively assess client IT environments, identify opportunities for improvement, implement technical solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor while collaborating with internal engineering, project, and service teams.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned client accounts

  • Perform proactive infrastructure assessments and technology health checks

  • Analyze client networks, servers, cloud services, and security posture for optimization opportunities

  • Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements and best practices

  • Provide onsite technical support for escalated issues, installations, and troubleshooting

  • Configure, maintain, and support networking equipment including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and VPNs

  • Administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows operating systems

  • Support endpoint security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions

  • Collaborate with vCIOs, Project Engineers, and Service Desk teams to identify risks and implement solutions

  • Maintain accurate documentation of client environments, configurations, credentials, and processes

  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients

  • Help maintain infrastructure, security, and operational standards across client environments


Qualifications

Required


  • 2+ years of IT support, Network Administration, or Managed Services (MSP) experience

  • Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft‑based environments

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting:

  • Firewalls

  • Managed Switches

  • Wireless Access Points

  • VLANs

  • VPNs

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple client environments

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally


Preferred


  • MSP experience

  • Experience with ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya, or similar PSA/RMM platforms

  • IT Glue or similar documentation platform experience

  • PowerShell scripting or automation experience

  • macOS support experience

  • Industry certifications such as:


    • CompTIA Network+

    • CompTIA Security+

    • Microsoft Certifications

    • Cisco Certifications


  • Travel

  • Local travel to client sites as needed

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required

  • Primarily daytime travel with minimal overnight travel
