Job summary

RFCUNY's Technology Solutions Engineer role in New York, NY focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that support student services and benefits access across the CUNY CARES program.

You will develop integrations (Dynamics 365, HubSpot, and other systems), build APIs, automate workflows with Power Automate, and ensure secure, accessible data reporting and governance. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in software engineering, systems implementation, or related technical roles.
• Experience with APIs, databases, and cloud-based applications.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience leading technical projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations across multiple technology platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, and other university systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data exchange processes, and system interoperability solutions.
• Design and implement workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and related technologies.
• Support Azure-based applications, services, and infrastructure used by CUNY CARES.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards, and data management tools.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for existing applications and integrations.
• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and user support materials.
• Ensure technology solutions align with standards related to security, privacy, accessibility, and data governance.
