Job summary

American Electric Power leads the Metering organization’s technology strategy, delivery, and support for metering operations and advanced metering capabilities. The role partners with business leaders to align technology roadmaps with operational goals and customer needs, while directing staff development and cross-functional collaboration across operating companies.

You will drive risk assessment, budgeting, and project execution; foster a culture of safety, ethics, and high performance; and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (CS/engineering/business or related field).
• 8+ years of technology experience.
• 4–6 years of direct supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strategic and effective business/technology peer relationships.
• Provide safety leadership and compliance without exception; ensure a strong safety culture.
• Develop financial forecasts and manage department budgets; plan O&M and CAPEX.
• Ensure ongoing reliability of technology infrastructure and business solutions.
• Lead and develop diverse, high-performing technology teams.

Education
