American Electric Power (On-Site) seeks an experienced Technology leader to direct metering technology strategy, delivery, and support for Metering operations, meter data management, and Meter-to-Cash processes. Responsible for the strategic direction, delivery, and support of technology solutions that enable AEP's Metering organization, including metering operations, meter data management, advanced metering capabilities, and related Meter-to-Cash business processes. Partners closely with business leaders to align technology strategies, roadmaps, and investments with operational objectives and customer needs. Promotes and applies Technology processes and solutions to meet the needs and align with the strategies of the Metering organization. Responsible for directly managing and developing technology staff, building and sustaining collaborative relationships with operating companies, business units, and technology teams. Lead the teams to complete projects and/or services and perform all technology work activities via efficient processes and effective use of resources.
Responsibilities include decision making, risk assessment, task prioritization/assignment/tracking, project assignment, employee development, performance feedback, motivation, team building, communication, planning, resource allocation, cost control, problem/issue/conflict resolution, customer service, and client relations.
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans; receive guidance and oversight from senior manager.

Independently completes and leads the largest and most complex infrastructure project assignments. Plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Helps manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitor system performance, and install and configure hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.
