Job summary

Berkley One, a modern insurance provider, seeks a Technology Lead to drive the technology vision for Digital Engagement, CRM, and Enterprise Services. This role will shape customer and agent-facing solutions and oversee scalable cloud-native platforms.

The position offers a hybrid work model with offices in Morristown, NJ and other locations. You will collaborate with leaders to translate strategy into technical outcomes and implement secure-by-design practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a Technology Lead, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar leadership role.
• Proven success designing and delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale software development and architecture.
• Strong background with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, Microservices, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Drive digital experiences across web, mobile, CRM, and self-service platforms.
• Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into technology outcomes.
• Champion secure-by-design engineering practices and modernization initiatives.
• Identify and implement Generative AI solutions that improve customer experience and business efficiency.
• Guide engineering teams and establish best-in-class development standards.
