Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience for our CAAS practice, based in Madison, Milwaukee, or Racine WI. You will lead financial planning, prepare statements, and advise on financial objectives while ensuring strong internal controls and GAAP compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and leadership of accounting teams, travel to local client sites, and delivering timely financial analysis and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• Accounting back-office experience required.
• Technology industry experience highly preferred; public accounting acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and financial/operational aspects of tech.
• Create internal control policies, budgets, cash and credit management.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, procurements and investments as applicable.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, forecasts and regulatory filings.
• Advise management on financial objectives and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders.
