Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Manufacturing industry experience to join our CAAS practice, based out of Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, WI. You will develop internal control policies, oversee budgeting, cash management, and accounting, and provide tailored services to clients while building strong relationships.

You will coordinate financial planning, prepare financial statements, evaluate funding needs, monitor KPIs, and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience; manufacturing industry preferred.
• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks preferred; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting and cash management.
• Direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments for the organization.
• Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Evaluate funding needs and investments of surpluses with recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs and financial performance across staff and units.
• Lead and evaluate accounting staff performance and implement improvements.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions; communicate with boards.
