Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller with Manufacturing industry experience to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) practice in the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, WI area. You will lead internal controls, budgeting, and financial planning while partnering with clients to support growth and operational excellence.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of related accounting experience; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of accounting/financial experience in manufacturing preferred; public accounting also valued.
• QuickBooks experience highly preferred; strong Excel skills essential.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Travel includes local client visits and occasional non-local trips.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting and cash management.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments and prepare information.
• Prepare financial statements and reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment of surpluses with recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs and overall financial performance; assess staff performance.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors; may prep board presentations.
