Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Controller with Manufacturing industry experience to join our CAAS practice in the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, WI office. You will lead internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting for client engagements, collaborating with management and stakeholders to support growth.

The role requires 7 years of accounting/financial experience, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required (Manufacturing experience highly preferred). Public accounting experience preferred.
• Aptitude for maintaining working knowledge of accounting software; QuickBooks experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Travel involves in-office work with local travel to client sites and occasional non-local travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities and prepare financial information.
• Direct preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts for regulatory bodies.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment of surpluses; make recommendations.
• Monitor KPI and financial staff performance; implement improvements.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders; prepare board materials.
