The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES is seeking a Technology Funding Specialist to manage funding streams for technology resources in school districts and BOCES. The role of the Technology Funding Specialist is to manage the various funding streams available to school districts and BOCES for the procurement of technology resources. These may include Federal programs such as the various E-rate categories and state funding sources such as grants or other special programs. In addition, this role will assist with the management of the BOCES Learning Technology budgets, specifically related to purchasing of hardware and software for component school districts. This includes the processing of lease requests reviewing payment of invoices and managing billings to districts and internal departments within BOCES. Work is performed under the general direction of department supervisors with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in planning and carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required.
Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, and two (2) years of purchasing and/or procurement experience; OR
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and four (4) years of purchasing and/or procurement experience.
