Job summary

The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES is seeking a Technology Funding Specialist to manage funding streams for technology resources in school districts and BOCES. The role includes coordinating federal and state funding, budgeting for Learning Technology, and overseeing hardware and software purchasing and lease processing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or related field with 2 years purchasing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency with 4 years purchasing/procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor current expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
• Support Learning Technology leadership in budget creation and administration.
• Process monthly billing documentation to the business office.
• Review invoices for districts and BOCES and submit payment notices and communications.
• Document budget adjustments and obtain district approvals.
• Coordinate with the business office to complete budget adjustments.
• Research best practices for leveraging federal/state funding and participate in professional organizations.
• Develop communication channels with component districts and vendors.
• Develop timelines/workflows for applying for federal/state funding.
• Assist Learning Technology staff with procurement and asset tracking of hardware/software.
• Review, process, and track lease requests with districts and the business office.

Education
