Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Technology Designer New Graduate in Naperville, IL. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.

You will assist in the design and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology systems in buildings, with a focus on IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related engineering, IT, CS or related STEM field, or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in producing technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills including basics of electrical voltage/current, digital/analog signals, and IT networking concepts as they relate to low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage systems.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and execution within budgets and timelines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress across projects.
• Analyze tasks and propose innovative solutions with senior engineer support.
