Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Technology Designer New Graduate in Naperville, IL. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship and training to grow your expertise from day one.

You will assist in designing and implementing low-voltage technology systems in buildings, focusing on IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and related systems across education and institutional markets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, IT, CS or related STEM field.
• Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans and specifications.
• Strong analytical and IT networking knowledge related to low-voltage systems design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and travel up to 50%.
• Basic knowledge of BIM software.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of IT structured cabling, AV, security, and other low-voltage systems.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Work as part of a project team to support consulting projects.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose innovative solutions with senior support.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG's quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in ICT engineering.
