Job summary

IMEG, a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, is hiring a Technology Designer New Graduate in Greenwood Village, CO. This entry-level role focuses on designing and analyzing low-voltage ICT systems, including IT structured cabling, AV, and security, with mentorship and hands-on project experience.

You will assist in planning, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client goals while contributing to QC and innovation in education and institutional projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, CS or related STEM field required.
• Knowledge of design techniques and production of technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in voltage, signals, and basic IT networking for low-voltage systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of IT structured cabling, AV, security, and other low-voltage systems using engineering software to create designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information clearly.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Work with project team to support consulting project execution.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose innovative solutions with senior support.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and contribute to innovation within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety and mitigate risks for ICT systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
