Job summary

HDR is seeking a Technology Designer in Dallas, TX. You will design integrated low-voltage systems, calculate power loads and UPS needs, and develop construction documents for complex projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and at least five years in low-voltage design. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers and owners, write specifications, and perform QA/QC across the design process, contributing to HDR’s legacy of engineering excellence in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in low-voltage system design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated low voltage systems.
• Calculate electrical power loads, UPS requirements, and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare complete construction documents.
• Understand assignments have objectives requiring investigation of many variables.
• Independently perform low-voltage engineering tasks with guidance from Project Manager.
• Write specifications covering low voltage system matters and coordinate with owners.
• Assist other Designers/Coordinators or technicians as needed across project phases.
• Conduct QA/QC on work of others as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
