The Office of the University Registrar seeks a versatile technology and business process professional to support and enhance the office’s portfolio of student-facing and operational systems. This position serves as a key liaison between functional stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate business needs into effective technology solutions that support enrollment, academic records, and student success initiatives.
With particular emphasis on Slate for Current Students and other enrollment-related technologies, the position analyzes business processes, gathers and documents requirements, coordinates system enhancements, conducts testing and data validation, and supports implementation of new functionality and process improvements.
Working closely with the Associate Registrar for Data and Technology, the role provides expertise in system optimization, reporting, data stewardship, and solution design across the registrar’s technology ecosystem. The successful candidate will combine strong technical aptitude with a deep appreciation for higher education business processes, collaborating effectively with software engineers, application administrators, functional users, and institutional partners to advance operational excellence and improve the student experience.
Works with colleges, schools, and departments to understand and define IT business needs. Develops and recommends solutions. Plans implementation, integration and maintenance of solutions into business process or system design.
Provides professional expertise to the University community. Serves as a resource and guide to others in the department and/or university. Completes operational tasks essential for the daily functioning of the University. Additionally, contributes to larger projects or initiatives that align with department or University goals, often collaborating across teams.
May assist in mentoring or training new employees.
No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions.
Handles a variety of problems with some independence.
Some supervision; able to work independently on routine tasks.
Collaborates with team members and shares knowledge.
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Target hiring range for this role is $58,972 – $78,139. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position, while also considering internal equity.
This position has the option for hybrid or fully remote work. Flexplace agreements will be determined upon hire.
This position must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 and 5:00 PM (Eastern Time).
