Responsibilities

1. Operate a scanner to obtain images used for diagnosing and treating pathologies.
2. Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomical and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
3. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to examinations.
4. Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop films in an automatic processor.
5. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
6. Ensure high-quality images and documents are promptly submitted to PACS, with correct markers and patient data.
7. Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions.
8. Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage, and film areas.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider within 1 month of hire or transfer (AHA or ARC accepted).
• One or more of the following: NMTCB credential, ARRT MR boards, ARDMS Sonography credential, all obtained prior to or within 12 months of hire.
• Education: High school diploma with 2 years of experience, or an associate/technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.
