Summary of Job Duties: MRI Technologist produces quality MRI images as ordered by treating physicians. Communicates with patients, coworkers, and physicians. Completes required continuing education. Interacts with patients and families during the entire procedure from prep to completion.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Radiological Technology program
  • Registry eligible or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License before start date
  • MRI Advanced Certification within 12 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One or more years’ experience as an MRI technologist
  • MRI Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for MRI examinations, screens patients, and interacts with family
  • Assists in scheduling MRI exams and maintains documentation
  • Maintains medical supplies
  • Responds to patient inquiries and concerns
  • Acts as point of contact in the absence of a manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned
