• Under the supervision of a Radiologist, appropriately explain exams and position patients to capture quality diagnostic images. Administer intravenous/oral contrast in accordance with department policies. Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, demonstrating compassion and patience. Assist with providing technical coverage 24/7.

Minimum Education Required

• Associate Degree or successful completion of a program by the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT in MRI.

Minimum Experience Required

• 0 to 3 years

Licenses / Certifications Required

• Be certified by ARRT in Radiography and registered in MRI within 1 year of hire, or be certified by ARMRIT or CAMRT in MRI. Alternatively, hold ARRT certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine with supervised MRI experience. Possess BLS/CPR certification or obtain within 6 weeks of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy (preferred). Basic computer skills. Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and understand English.

Principal Responsibilities

• Operate department equipment, recognize malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance. Use proper protocols for image quality and patient safety, including medication administration. Receive and record orders, assist with image-guided procedures, prepare exam rooms, and ensure proper documentation. Assist with 24/7 technical coverage as needed.
