Job summary

Pure Salt Baytown, LLC in Baytown, TX is seeking a Technician Operator Level 1 to support refinery processes. You will operate pumps, valves, heat exchangers and monitor key process variables to ensure smooth production.

This role requires strict safety adherence, accurate record-keeping, and effective teamwork with the lead controller and refinery staff, with potential for extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Process Technology preferred but not required.
• 2 years of experience may be weighed in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other machinery to control the flow of materials and regulate processes.
• Continuously monitor meters, gauges, and other instruments to track and adjust temperature, pressure, flow rates, levels, density, conductivity, and other parameters.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE; respond to emergencies.
• Identify and address potential equipment or process issues and take corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of operations, readings, and incidents.
• Collaborate with refinery personnel and follow supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the plant.
• Reports to the lead controller as a “B” operator.
