Job summary

Avantor in Lexington, MA is seeking a dedicated team member to support Advanced Laboratory Services in performing mission-based lab work and research protocols. You will operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy, safety, and customer service while maintaining inventory integrity and timely order fulfillment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in material handling or related fields, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Inventory management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates orders for lab inventory replenishment.
• Receives inbound shipments from carriers.
• Responsible for handling hazardous material.
• Manages customer’s warehouse inventory.
• Handles and manages chemicals.
• Maintains and checks safety stations.
• Basic shipping duties.
• May require traveling between customer sites.
• Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Lexington, MA

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM- Monday - Friday

Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.03

What we’re looking for

Education: High school diploma or GED required

Experience: High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience 1+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service Inventory Management experience a plus

Additional Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and facility compliance standards preferred

Pay Transparency

The expected pre‑tax pay for this position is $39,000.00 - $62,675.00. Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
