Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking a Technician II to keep critical equipment running safely for customers at sites or in the shop. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment—electric, LP, gas, and diesel—ensuring reliability.

With 3+ years of hands-on repair experience and a high school diploma, you’ll read precision instruments, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing forklifts or similar industrial equipment
• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school training is a plus
• Ability to read precision instruments and perform basic welding or fabrication when needed

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment—electric, LP, gas, and diesel—at customer sites or in the shop
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, steering, and lift systems to manufacturer standards
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and failure analysis to catch problems early and keep equipment safe
• Work safely and professionally, documenting repairs, maintaining your service vehicle, and supporting a strong Safety First culture
