Job summary

Sammons Warehouse Solutions seeks a Technician 2 to diagnose, service, and repair material handling equipment at customer sites and in our shop. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, failure analysis, and basic welding while upholding safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of forklift repair experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid customer communication. Travel to customer sites is required; a valid license and own tools are expected.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and 3+ years of forklift repair or related industry experience.
• Mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; certification on Briggs Equipment product lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment at customer locations and in shop.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, and basic welding as per specs.
• Document repairs, manage parts, and keep the company vehicle organized and safe.
• Follow Safety First procedures and DOT/OSHA requirements; participate in on-call schedule.
