Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking an on-site Technician 1 to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer locations and in the shop. The role emphasizes safe work practices and accurate record-keeping.

Candidates should have 1+ year forklift repair experience, strong mechanical skills, and a high school diploma or GED. OSHA/DOT compliance and Briggs Equipment certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years forklift repair or related industry experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and operations.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school training preferred; relevant certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment in shop and at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections, identify safety concerns.
• Complete basic welding or fabrication as needed.
• Maintain service records and care for company vehicle and tools.
• Adhere to DOT/OSHA safety requirements and company procedures.
