Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician II - Shop with at least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably on heavy construction or rental equipment.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engines, perform preventive maintenance, and follow safety standards in a shop setting. The role offers paid weekly payroll, full benefits eligibility after the first month, and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy construction or rental equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas engines.
• Knowledge of Tier 4 engines, DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems is preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment testing.
• Must have necessary tools to perform repairs.
• Familiarity with schematics and diagnostic software; welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose issues and perform diagnostics on engines and related subsystems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on construction/rental equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and schematics to troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain safety standards and use required tools for repairs.

Position Requirements

• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing equipment repairs.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Intermediate understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Diesel laptop and welding experience is strongly preferred.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
