Job summary

TOTAL Transportation of Mississippi is hiring a Technician I in Olive Branch, MS, to perform basic and routine maintenance on tractors and trailers, including brake, tire, and fluid checks. The role runs Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am, with compensation between $19.44 and $23.76 per hour.

A valid driver’s license and own tools are required, with certifications preferred. Applicants should have at least 1 year of mechanical experience and be able to read and write; computer skills helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year mechanical experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and write.
• Must provide own tools adequate for job functions.
• Brake certification required for PMs and brake work.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Perform basic and routine preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers
• Check vehicle fluids; transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.
• Perform vehicle preventive maintenance as per TTMS guidelines
• Change vehicle tires
• Grease mechanical parts
• Must move equipment in and out of shop
• Maintain productivity and SRT timing
• Work at TTMS site or customer location
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
• Check vehicle fluids; transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.
• Perform vehicle preventative maintenance (pm’s) as outlined in TTMS pm guideline’s
• Change vehicle tires
• Grease mechanical parts
• Must be able to move equipment in and out of shop
• Maintain a high productivity level and complete most jobs within or close to SRT times.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Ability to work on a TTMS site or TTMS customer location site while performing the essential functions of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

• O.T and Brake certification required to perform pm’s and brake work
