Job summary

TOTAL Transportation of Mississippi is seeking an office-based Hiring/Recruiting Support role in Jackson, MS. The position handles driver onboarding, paperwork, and travel coordination with Operations to ensure timely start dates and full compliance.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and 1+ year in trucking/related fields, strong data entry, and solid communication skills to support recruiters and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in trucking, travel agency, or accounting.
• Data entry speed and accuracy; ability to multi-task.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Use of copier, fax, computer and scanner.
• Basic knowledge of record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Receive or make calls and record information from callers.
• Presents per diem pay option and benefits to new drivers.
• Tracks and reports on driver candidates during hiring to ensure paperwork is complete.
• Collect IDs required for I-9 processing.
• Coordinate travel plans so new drivers report to the terminal.
• Assist supervisors or recruiters with paperwork.
• Obtain missing background information for new hire processing and organize files.
• May assist as recruiting processor as workload dictates.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality for efficient department operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JACKSON MS TOTAL TERMINAL
Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

Compensation Range: $25,400 - $38,100

What You’ll Do

• Receive or make calls and record information provided by caller asking appropriate questions to obtain complete data.
• Presents per diem pay option and benefits to newly hired drivers
• Tracks and reports on all driver candidates during the hiring process to ensure all necessary paperwork, credentials, tests and exams are conducted prior to hire
• Responsible for collecting necessary identification required for I-9 processing
• Works with Operations to coordinate the travel plans to ensure newly hired drivers arrive at the designated terminal in order to report to work and seat a truck
• Assist supervisor or recruiters with paperwork
• Obtain any missing background information required for new hire processing and organize paperwork for final filing / storage
• May assist as a recruiting processor as workload dictates
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• May include other duties as assigned by Management

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.

Experience

• One or more-years’ experience in the trucking industry, travel agency, or accounting.

Skills/Certifications

• Data Entry Speed and Accuracy.
